Mozambique | Strengthening the network of alternating schools in the country

The Fondation Ondjyla, together with the CRIIA Institute, carried out a service mission to Mozambique in response to a request from the Association for the Promotion of Rural Family Vocational Schools in Mozambique (APEPFRUM). During the mission, a training session was held for its National Pedagogical Team, responding to the needs of the nine schools that became Rural Family Professional Institutes (IPFR) in 2023 in order to adapt to the new Mozambican education legislation. Previously, work had been done with them to adapt the training plans to the new curriculum and the alternating system.

During the mission, meetings were held with the Ministry of Education, Caritas Mozambique, the Salesian school network, the Episcopal Conference (the schools have had the support of Caritas and other Catholic Church institutions since the beginning), and ANEP (National Authority for Vocational Education). A proposal for a Collaboration Agreement for technical assistance and consulting between the CRIIA Institute and APEPFRUM was presented.
