Angola - Dombe Grande | Kurima Project - Inauguration of a Solar Powered Library | May 25

As part of the KURIMA project - an initiative by UNDP Angola in partnership with Fondation Ondjyla and Association SEIVA - a solar-powered library was inaugurated at Santa Ana School in Dombe Grande.
An innovative educational space equipped with 🔆 solar panels, 🌐 internet connectivity, 💻 2 computers, 📚 over 400 books, and various learning materials.
Internet connectivity opens a world of opportunities, enhancing access to information, digital literacy, and educational inclusion for both students and teachers.

The project also included the full rehabilitation of the school’s electrical and sanitation systems, creating a safer, healthier, and more functional learning environment.

In addition, the school’s pedagogical garden was revitalized to promote nutrition literacy among students, encouraging healthy eating habits and an appreciation for local food production.

Beyond infrastructure, this initiative strengthens the school as a hub for learning, sustainability, and community empowerment.
